# Welcome to the SeeSwap Protocol

**SeeSwap Protocol (**[**mainnet**](https://seeswap.one/)**,** [**testnet**](https://test.seeswap.one/)**) is an automated decentralized exchange on** [**Harmony Protocol**](https://www.harmony.one/)**, also used for portfolio management, liquidity provision, and price censorship.** SeeSwap allows users / smart contracts to trade between HRC 20 tokens with low slippage and low fee.

SeeSwap was originally a fork from [Balancer Protocol](https://balancer.finance/) as a demonstration in our [internal hackathon](https://medium.com/harmony-one/scaling-defi-on-harmony-20b9a0d92e96) in Aug 2020. Aligned with Harmony's vision of full transparency and decentralization, we are committed to a community-oriented approach and will launch our [governance mechanism](https://seeswap.gitbook.io/seeswap-documentation-1/understanding-see-token) to take decisions on all aspects of the SeeSwap protocol.
